This remodel in the heart of San Francisco's premium Pacific Heights neighborhood transformed a once-awkward layout into a modern, open-concept living space. The existing one-bedroom condo featured a disconnected kitchen, divided by a large closet, which obstructed the natural flow between the kitchen and living areas. Our goal was to reconfigure the space to create a better connection while minimizing structural impact.
We relocated and remodeled the kitchen to enhance visual connectivity between the cooking and living spaces, making the area feel more expansive. By removing a non-load-bearing wall, we reduced structural complexities while dramatically improving the overall layout. This allowed us to add a new bedroom and a dedicated laundry closet—an essential feature for modern living.
The open kitchen design, combined with thoughtful additions, offers a fresh, contemporary feel, perfect for anyone seeking a balance between style and practicality. Here are a few photos showcasing the transformation.
