Co-designed with 3lightsdesign.com, this Oakland kitchen remodel transformed a cramped and awkward space into a functional family hub. The new layout features a spacious butcher block peninsula for meal prep and striking arabesque tile that adds character and style. This open design allows the wife, a personal chef, to comfortably cook while keeping an eye on the kids, creating a practical and inviting space for everyday family life.
The remodel improved the kitchen's flow, making it easy to navigate between cooking, dining, and the workspace. Expanded storage keeps appliances tucked away, while warm wood tones and open shelving add both functionality and a personal touch.
A custom workspace near the kitchen enables the wife to manage work tasks without leaving the main living area. Careful attention was given to maintaining the home’s Spanish style, with finishes that complement its original charm, seamlessly integrating modern functionality with classic design.
